How information is handled when you visit Workshop Scout or contact us.
Contact
Contact Workshop Scout at hello@workshopscout.com.au with privacy questions. Workshop Scout is operated by Ronan Brennan.
The calculator and purchase worksheet
The kit-cost calculator and worksheet run in your browser. We do not submit their entries to Workshop Scout or save them on our servers. The worksheet has no send or save feature. If you print or save a copy through your browser, that copy is under your control. Avoid entering sensitive information on a shared device. The site currently has no account, newsletter signup, advertising pixels or external analytics script.
Email enquiries
If you email us, your address, message and any attachments are handled through our Google Workspace mailbox so we can deal with the enquiry. Please send only what is needed. Our retention policy limits enquiry records to what is needed to handle the enquiry, meet a documented continuing need or comply with applicable record-keeping duties. Financial records, contracts and disputes follow separate rules. Provider recovery, backup and legal-preservation requirements can affect when deletion is complete.
Hosting and technical information
The public website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request and routing information for delivery and security. Google Workspace handles email enquiries. These providers may process information outside Australia. Their retention and processing practices depend on the services and settings in use; we do not promise Australian-only storage or immediate removal from all provider systems.
Privacy requests and concerns
Email our contact address to ask about access, correction or deletion of enquiry information, or to raise a privacy complaint. Explain the request without sending unnecessary sensitive material. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing information. Legal obligations and records needed for a dispute may limit deletion.
Links and browser storage
Our site code does not set cookies or use local storage, advertising pixels or analytics. Hosting security features may handle technical information independently. Following a reference link takes you to another organisation’s website, where its own privacy practices apply.
Future changes
Any future click measurement or email subscription feature requires an updated notice and appropriate controls before activation. Those features are not active.
